Planogram compliance: checking the shelf with a photo
A planogram only works if the shelf matches it. Compliance checks close the loop between the plan and the store.
Why shelves drift
- Resets are done in a hurry or by different people.
- Substitutions when a product is out of stock become permanent.
- Vendors add their own products or extra facings.
- Seasonal and promo items are left behind.
How a photo check works
Someone in the store takes a photo of the finished shelf. The photo is read against the planogram, shelf by shelf: which products are in place, which are missing, which are extra and which are on the wrong shelf. The result is a score and a short list of what to fix first.
What to measure
- Compliance %: products in the right place ÷ products on the plan.
- Missing products, especially best sellers.
- Extra products: unplanned items taking space.
- Trend per store over time.
In EazyPlano
Open the planogram, add a photo, get the result in seconds. Missing products are highlighted on the planogram so the store can fix the shelf without reading a report.
